My name is Sallie Horner and I am a qualified clinical solution focused hypnotherapist and psychotherapist.
I have always enjoyed working with people and have followed various career paths within the helping profession. I felt that I could do more to help people move forward with their lives given the right tools. A friend suggested I should become a hypnotherapist after having a very positive experience with it and that was all the encouragement I needed to make that change.
I have a very non-judgmental approach. Having experienced anxiety in my own life after some very stressful situations I know how difficult this can be and how hard everyday living becomes. I try and share my commitment and enthusiasm to help motivate and encourage those who I have the privilege of working with. I love people to feel relaxed and calm when they are with me so I do use humour. I try to keep things informal and hope that everyone leaves with something to think about and with a smile on their face!
I started my early career as a teacher and then moved into working with children and their families in many different settings and facing many difficulties. I have helped children come to terms with traumatic issues, deal with confidence problems, offending, exam issues, school avoiding, social issues, family breakdown, body issues and bereavement but to name just a few. I now use my passion for working with children in my therapy room. Life has become more and more stressful for children and young people with the ever increasing demands made of them in this fast paced life. If you child or young person is suffering then do not hesitate to try hypnotherapy. Children respond well to hypnotherapy. They are used to using their imagination and do not have the same barriers that we build over time as adults.
