What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is something that you are already familiar with but probably have never realised!
If you have driven your car and suddenly noticed that you didn't remember the journey, or read a book and imagined the story, or found yourself daydreaming, then you have experienced hypnosis. It is something that we do many times a day and is quite natural.
Solution focused hypnotherapy
At Libra Hypnotherapies I use solution focused hypnotherapy. This type of therapy does not focus on our problems, the past or what we don't want to be happening. Instead it focuses on how we would like our lives to be and the steps we can take to make that journey of change. When we take even one small step it can be the catalyst for much more change. You need not worry that you will have to spend time re-examining painful memories, or negative situations. Of course they will be acknowledged, but we focus on where you want your life to be. You will be in control of the process. However change will only happen of you are prepared to take the steps necessary to do it.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually sessions vary from client to client but generally most will need between 8 - 12 sessions and it is recommended that they take place once a week for the full benefit.
